Recommended Reading

Below are some books I have read and will recommend for anyone interested in shooting. Many of the links go to Amazon's website where you can order them online.

Art of the Rifle: Special Color Edtion and Art Of The Rifle		Both of these editions are classics whether you are getting started or have been shooting a while. Jeff Cooper is an excellent writer and a great advocate of the skilled use of the rifle.
Practical Shooting : Beyond Fundamentals		This book is designed to help in the discipline of Practical Shooting however the advice is applicable to almost any sport or endeavor. Check out his website if you'd like to get a sense of what is in the book.
American rifle design and performance	no image available	This is a comprehensive discussion of each aspect of a rifle, different design approaches, and the implications on performance. This one is a great common-sense guide to what makes a rifle shoot. While it concentrates on American rifles it also covers some European rifles as well. This one is out of print but there seem to be a lot of copies out there in the used market at great prices.
Modern Reloading		Modern Reloading by Richard Lee of Lee Precision is great read. I'm not a reloader but I enjoyed reading it just the same.
