CZ 452 Action Screws by Derek Niles

These action screws have socket heads rather than the standard flat screwdriver heads and it makes all the difference. You can easily take them out and put them in with an allen key and not mess up the screws or the stock trying to use a flat screwdriver. In addition (as if you needed further convincing) the socket screws look great - much better than the standard screws.

The socket heads also work better with a torque or regular 1/4" hex drivers as well. I have 4mm bits available if you have a driver that takes standard 1/4" hex bits. There are no problems with the bit wanting to jump out as you turn it or the screw getting marked up on the edges by a tapered driver bit. The latest screws only need the 4mm bit.

Warning: it is possible to shear the head off the rear action screw if excessive torque is applied. This is a limitation of the socket head with the relatively thin head. Just be careful not to tighten them excessively and you should have no problems. "Excessive" is in the 40+ in lbs range - higher than most can go with a hand driver.

Standard Action Screws

The standard action screw set fits all the 11mm dovetail, two screw models - the Lux, Special, Trainer, Ultra, Super Exclusive, Varmint, Silhouette and Style in either 22LR or 17HM2. It does not fit the American models in either caliber.

22LR & 17HM2 American Action Screws

The American action screw set fits both the 22LR and 17HM2 American models. This model has one screw ahead of the trigger and one screw in the tang. Both screws use a 4mm hex key.

22WMR & 17HMR Action Screws

The 22WMR and 17HMR action screw set fits all models in these calibers.

The action screw sets include the action screws and a 4mm Allen key.

The screws are made in USA.
